ยูเครนติดต่อ Tim Cook ขอให้ Apple หยุดขายสินค้าและปิด App Store ในรัสเซีย หลังหลายประเทศร่วมกดดันจากสงคราม
สงครามรัสเซีย-ยูเครนรอบนี้ โยงไปถึงบริษัทไอทีอย่างแอปเปิลด้วยแล้ว เมื่อ Mykhailo Fedorov รองประธานาธิบดียูเครน เขียนจดหมายเปิดผนึกถึง Tim Cook ซีอีโอของแอปเปิล และโพสต์ทาง Twitter
โดยเนื้อหาเป็นการร้องขอให้หยุดการขายสินค้าและการเข้าถึง App Store ในรัสเซีย

แอปเปิลเองเป็นหนึ่งในบริษัทที่เปิดขายสินค้าในรัสเซีย โดยแอปเปิลเองได้เปิดหน้าเว็บสำหรับรัสเซียโดยเฉพาะ และขายสินค้าทั้ง iPhone, iPad, Mac มาตลอด แต่หลังจากที่เกิดสงครามขึ้น หลายประเทศรวมถึงบริษัทต่างๆ ร่วมกันคว่ำบาตรรัสเซียทันที
ทางด้าน Tim Cook เองได้มีการทวีตถึงความห่วงใยในปัญหาความขัดแย้งรัสเซีย-ยูเครน

ขณะนี้ยังไม่ได้มีการปิด App Store ในรัสเซีย แต่จากการที่มีการปิดธุรกรรมทางธนาคาร 5 แห่งในรัสเซีย ทำให้บริการอย่าง Apple Pay หรือ Google Pay ไม่สามารถใช้งานได้ในรัสเซียตอนนี้
